CLUB MEETINGS & CONTACT INFO

The Optimist Club of Pickering has meetings on the first Tuesday of every month (except for July and August) at 7:00 pm at the Police Credit Union, 962 Kingston Rd.

BINGOS FUNDRAISING FOR YOUTH AND COMMUNITY

Bingo at the Delta Bingo Hall, 975 Dillingham Rd. (southwest of Brock Rd./Bayly St.), Pickering, is the club's major fundraiser. Bingos are held every Wednesday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm with card selling beginning at 8:45 am.

In addition to funding to other organizations, the club runs numerous hands-on projects, including:

Ski/Snowboard Lessons (Saturdays, Jan.-Feb.)
Bike Safety, Stunts and Registration (June)
Thanksgiving Food Drive (Oct.)
Photos With Santa / Christmas Wish Foundation (Dec.)

The club is also providing significant funding over ten years towards the Children's Waterplay Park that opened in June 2001 and is part of the Millennium Waterfront Trail.
